Scott Warfe, Marriage and Family Therapy Trainee
I’m Scott, a grateful clinician at Kindred Heart Therapy. What drew me to Kindred Heart was the focus on people, not problems. As Michael White, the founder of Narrative Therapy, says, “The person is not the problem, the problem is the problem.” That’s more than just a mantra—it’s the heart of the practice.
Every client I meet carries their own beat—the rhythm of their experiences, struggles, and hopes. While unique, they share a deep understanding of life’s challenges. They know what it’s like to navigate anxiety, depression, and the complexities of relationships.
Together, we explore thoughts and emotions while developing skills to manage stress, improve communication, and create meaningful change.
As a Master’s student, I bring knowledge of the latest evidence-based practices—including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. While I’m early in my clinical journey, my clients benefit from the guidance of experienced supervisors, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care.
Reaching out for help is hard. If nothing else, please know that this work can help you feel better. DMX once said, “To live is to suffer, but to survive, well, that’s to find meaning.” You don’t have to figure this out alone. We’ll work together to find that meaning and move beyond just surviving.
