Yasemin Kurama, AMFT

Associate Marriage Family Therapist #147405

If you’re reading this, then you’re already taking the first steps towards a life that feels joyful, fulfilling, and meaningful. As a therapist at Kindred Heart Therapy Group, it is my deepest privilege to walk with you along this healing path. Whether you are seeking support managing anxiety, trauma, depression, or relational wounds, beneath your pain is a deeper truth. I believe that we each have the capacity to live a life of authentic expression, rooted in a sense of belonging, creativity, and purpose. I utilize a blend of gentle yet powerful therapeutic techniques, including EMDR, Parts work, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation tools. EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that rewires the way trauma lives in our body, allowing our nervous system to stop being stuck in survival mode. I help both individuals and couples heal from past wounds, overcome trauma, and build stronger relationships.

As a previous domestic violence advocate, I am particularly passionate about helping survivors of domestic violence learn to trust and find joy again. I am also multicultural, making me particularly attuned to issues around identity, belonging, and social justice. I am bilingual and can offer EMDR in both English and Arabic. If you could live a life that feels purposeful and in alignment with your deepest desires, what would that look like? Let’s find out together.
