Meggan Luce, Marriage and Family Therapy Trainee
Hi, my name is Meggan. If you are reading this right now, some part of you has decided this is the right moment to find support. Maybe you have been to therapy before, or maybe this is a big first step. Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but you won’t be doing it alone. I look forward to working with you as we discover your path, your truth, and the strength you have within.
A little about me…After a career in education, where I worked with both adults and children in schools in the US, Mexico, and Portugal, I have decided to turn my efforts towards understanding the human experience and how we can make the most of our beautiful and complex lives. As a therapist at Kindred Heart Therapy Group, I use a wide range of approaches and techniques, and I integrate them in a way that is uniquely tailored for you. I work with children, adults, couples, and families in various relationship structures.
If you’re looking for a specific type of therapy, my areas of focus include: trauma treatment, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play-based child therapy, couples therapy, non monogamous relationship therapy, family therapy, Gestalt and experiential therapy, and somatic therapy. And if you don’t know what you’re looking for, we can discover that together. I have experience working with anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, sexual issues, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I’m interested in who you are and what you’ve been through—your strengths, your fears, and your passions. I welcome and accept all parts of you and all of your identities.
Life is full of moments of joy, heartache, pleasure, pain, and everything in between. It can be exhausting at times. If you feel like you are stuck or find yourself struggling to grow or simply survive, talking with someone can help. I look forward to meeting you.
