Alex Kahn, Social Worker Trainee
Master Social Worker Trainee
As a clinician Kindred Heart Therapy Group, I am passionate about social justice, human rights, and helping others achieve meaningful change in their lives. As a graduate student pursuing a degree in Social Work, I am committed to practicing in alignment with the NASW Code of Ethics and advocating for the dignity, worth, and self-determination of every individual. My work is grounded in the belief that access to support, opportunity, and compassionate care can create lasting positive outcomes for individuals and communities.
My professional experience as a case manager has strengthened my understanding of the complex social, environmental, and systemic factors that influence well-being. I utilize a person-in-environment approach, recognizing that each individual’s experiences are shaped by their relationships, communities, cultures, and broader social contexts. I deeply value lived experiences and strive to create a safe, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where individuals feel heard, respected, and empowered. My therapeutic focus centers on supporting individuals experiencing anxiety and depression, helping them develop coping strategies, build resilience, and move toward greater emotional wellness.

My goal is to help individuals achieve a high quality of life by tapping into their unique personal strengths. I believe deeply in the restorative power of nature and art as primary tools for healing and self-expression. I am dedicated to guiding others as they navigate their wellness journey and helping them find the essential resources they need to thrive. Through a strengths-based and person-centered lens, I work alongside individuals to foster hope, promote growth, and support their journey toward greater balance, fulfillment, and overall well-being.
