Rebecca Victor, MFTT PCTT
Marriage Family Therapist Trainee &
Professional Clinical Counselor Trainee
As part of the Kindred Heart Therapy Group team, my goal is to walk with you as you process the problems you face in day-to-day life and provide assistance where you’re unsure of what to do next. Whether it be stressful times and feeling overwhelmed, navigating new opportunities and next steps, anxiety about what’s to come, troubles with relationships or work, or coping with loss or grief, I aim to be a clinician who can be a safe person for those who are struggling while
maintaining a bit of fun and authenticity. I am passionate about working with children.
As a therapist, my approach is warm and empathetic, non-judgmental and unassuming. I provide the space to sit in silence and process feelings, thoughts, and reactions. There’s meaning in a
quiet moment and allowing yourself to sit with a feeling may help us understand it better. I also employ a strengths-based, humanistic, and person-centered approach that involves emphasizing
your positive qualities, giving you unconditional support, and putting you as a person first. I view each individual as the expert in knowing themselves and believe that each one of you is more than capable of steering your life towards a brighter future.
I offer a space where you can unpack your thoughts, emotions, questions, and struggles without needing to rush or feeling judged. I aim to validate your experience, collaborate with you to create goals to work toward, and ultimately equip you with tools you can use after therapy is over. I lean on the ideas of narrative therapy, where life is seen as one long story that we can edit and revise as we go through it. By thinking of our experiences like we’re novel protagonists—bringing in some creativity and imagination—we can build a narrative that prepares you for the challenges you’ll face in the next chapter of your story.
