Lee Kuiper, MFTT
Marriage Family Therapist Trainee
As a therapist at Kindred Heart Therapy Group, I bring a calm and compassionate presence to the therapeutic relationship. I believe the therapeutic relationship itself can be a powerful place for healing through trust, respect, and nonjudgmental acceptance serving as the foundation.
I work with clients navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, and relationship conflict. Taking a collaborative and integrative approach to therapy, I draw from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Emotion-Focused Therapy. In couples work, I often incorporate Imago Therapy and the Gottman Method.
I genuinely care about people and value creating a space where clients feel welcomed, heard, respected, and free from judgment. I am curious, patient, and deeply interested in understanding each person with their unique experiences, strengths, and relationships. Together with my clients, I work to uncover and empower their existing strengths, develop practical tools, and discover new ways of understanding and responding to life’s challenges.
Above all, I believe that change is always possible (though not always easy). My hope is to help clients recognize their own strength, believe in their capacity for change, and leave therapy with a greater sense of confidence, resilience, and hope: you are capable, you are not alone, and you can do this.
